CISPRA World Games 2018 - Go Team CP England!

As the Cerebral Palsy International Sport & Recreation Association (CPISRA) World Games gets underway this week in San Cugat, Spain, we wish all the athletes the best of luck in achieving their sporting goals.

The CPISRA World Games’ physically disabled competitors will take part in events such as athletics, swimming and football, alongside specialist disability sports, such as racerunning, boccia and wheelchair slalom.

Team CP England coordinated by leading disability sports charity CP Sport

Team CP England will be coordinated by CP Sport, the country’s leading national disability sports organisation, founding member of the British Paralympic Association and the English Federation of Disability Sports (EFDS), member of CISPRA and previous host of the Nottingham 2015 CPISRA World Games.

The charity’s vision for the future is that everyone with a physical disability can access a sport of their choice. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for physically impaired people through the provision of appropriate sport and recreational activities. In doing so they aim to help people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities enhance their physical health and emotional wellbeing, build their confidence, reduce the isolation experienced by them and their families by building and retaining friendships, all whilst having fun.

Since becoming independent from Scope in 2001, CP Sport has helped 4,000 children and young people with cerebral palsy enjoy sport every year, including athletes who have gone on to compete in many of the Paralympic squads. When not inspiring disabled athletes to compete on the world stage, CP Sport use their expertise to develop and provide disability sports for all physically impaired to enjoy whilst offering specialist support in adapting sports for people with cerebral palsy to parents, support workers, teachers, therapists and coaches.

At Boyes Turner we pride ourselves in offering more than just a legal claims service for people with cerebral palsy, brain injury, neuro-disability and amputation. Our experienced lawyers work with our client families, medical experts, case managers, therapists and carers to maximise the benefit of interim payments and compensation awards to restore mobility and independence, provide for special educational and vocational needs and support our client’s participation in family life and the wider community.

We are delighted to support CP Sports in their inspirational work and wish Team CP England every success at the 2018 CPISRA World Games.
